Striped reads your swing from the motion sensors you already carry — the phone in your pocket, your AirPods, your watch. Tempo, swing plane, head drift, hip rotation, and the sequence between them. No club sensor, no launch monitor, nothing to charge or clip on.

Tour players are remarkably consistent here: the backswing takes about three times as long as the downswing, whatever the tempo. This is the swing model that ships inside the app, playing at that ratio in real time — 800 milliseconds back, 267 down.
What it measures
Tempo is the headline. It isn't the whole report.
Tempo
The ratio of backswing to downswing, timed from your takeaway, the top, and impact — and how tightly you hold it across a session.
Swing plane
The plane your backswing establishes, and how far your hands stray off it on the way down — in centimetres, not adjectives.
Head drift
How far your head sways and rises through the strike, with a cue in your ear the moment it moves.
Hip rotation
How far your pelvis has turned at the top, and how open it is at impact — the whole turn, phase by phase through the downswing.
Sequence
Wrist against hips: whether your lower body is leading the hands down, or trailing them. The order things happen in, not just how fast.

iPhone POCKET · 100 Hz
In your front pocket, the phone rides your pelvis. It sees the turn away from the ball and the turn back through it, which is what gives Striped the takeaway, the top, and impact — the three timestamps a tempo ratio is made of.
AirPods HEAD · 50 Hz
Motion-capable AirPods report head orientation, so Striped can measure how much your head moves during the swing and chime the moment it drifts. Sway and rise are the two that show up most, and neither is visible to you while you're swinging.
Apple WatchOptional WRIST · 800 Hz
If you wear one, the watch adds the wrist — a much sharper clock. Its high-rate accelerometer catches the shock of impact itself rather than inferring it, and tightens every number the app reports.
