# Striped Striped is a golf swing trainer for iPhone, Apple Watch and motion-capable AirPods, built by Mongo Technologies LLC. Striped uses the iPhone in your pocket, your AirPods, and your Apple Watch to measure your swing metrics. ## What it does The golfer carries iPhone in a front pocket with the screen locked, wears motion-capable AirPods and an Apple Watch on the lead wrist. The phone detects swings and measures the backswing and downswing from hip motion. AirPods play a metronome (three tones for takeaway, top and impact, at 3:1 full-swing paces or 2:1 for the short game and putting), speak the backswing-to-downswing ratio after each swing and track head movement. Apple Watch measures each swing at the wrist, traces the hand path and keeps recording if the connection to the iPhone drops. After each session the report breaks down every swing: tempo (backswing time, downswing time and their ratio), hip turn, head movement, swing plane and hand path, wrist speed, and tempo for chips, pitches and putts. Striped is built on tens of millions of data samples. Practice modes: driver, irons, chips, pitches and putting. Striped reads the golfer's body motion. It does not use a camera or clip-on sensors. ## Requirements iPhone with iOS 17 or later, motion-capable AirPods and Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later. Sign in with Apple is required. Striped is a subscription, billed through Apple. ## Privacy No advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking code in the app; data is not sold and Striped does not read Health data. Recordings stay on the iPhone; private cloud backup is optional and off by default. This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties.
